What size tube and socket will fit the nut size of the Seagull spark plug?

18mm (It's the measurement across the flats)

If you are using the champion plug a bog standard plug spanner fits

A bog standard 18mm plug spanner will but an even more more bog standard 14mm one won't nor will the ones for smaller plugs. Unless of course later Seagulls had smaller plugs than the old Champion 8COMs or their modern equivalents.

(I always use an adjustable spanner!)

plug size

I checked the spark plugs from my 102, C100 and 40+, each plug was 22mm across the flat.

Apologies. My plug spanners are marked 18mm and 14mm but thats the thread size!

The Seagull plugs are 18mm ones and the spanner size is 1" AF

The 14mm plugs require a 13/16 AF spanner although one of mine is marked 7/16 BSW

Now all carefully measured with a vernier gauge.

I certainly don't have any that are 22mm AF

(Moral don't go looking at indistinctly marked tools late in the evening)

This page http://www.saving-old-seagulls.co.uk/spark_plugs.htm on Johns website tells you which models have 18mm plugs which have 14mm plugs
