Old outboard site

Post by livewire »

Well it all started with this item number on ebay 200644148814

As it is still only on £5 i'm very very tempted. But i've asked the seller a question, if he gets back to me i may bid. But only if it's cheap as i'm tight.

Anyway by searching for more info i found this site, http://www.penn.itgo.com/

The site sells spares, but at what cost i have no idea. They have a large selection of photos of the following makes.

Elto

Evinrude

Exotics

Johnson

Lockwood

Mercury

Neptune

Neptune Mighty Mite parts pages

Sea King

Seen the site before, no information other than a model number to go with the pictures.
Wouldn't like to see what the prices are.
Old OMC motors are the biggest pain when it comes to parts and the postage on most parts is more than the price of the part itself, most of the time.
Likely my 47 Seaking was 99% ok, I did need a prop, £35 just for the postage.
My Seaking/Elto thing will end up scrap in the end, as you just can not get the parts, pre 60's Evinrude & Johnson's are getting bad enough, most coils will be dead for a start, so its not always a bargain you are getting.
