Good One Gerard! A good Diesel Soak Mate!, Never Fails for the patient ones.
Post pics anytime as to what you are encountering.
Also, someone forgot to mention other than "God Kissed Places" that electronic modules revive a good coil when other bits are not at hand. No One would ever know either unless you admit the fact.........Old "West Coast" Saying.
Good Stuff Mate!
Regards
Bruce.

Cheers Mates. Indeed my thoughts got carried away last night but I soon came down to earth this morning when I checked my replies. I sure will encounter more problems before I hear the beautiful tones of my engine. I will continue to pick your brains guys, as I go along. I did read about the magneto and the electric drill, so I will keep that one ready. My first job however is to hone the cylinder and get new piston rings. I better do some paint work whilst things are in pieces.
Will keep you posted.
Gerard
Will keep you posted.

Re: stripped down FP pics
well gerard how did the honing go?
Re: stripped down FP pics
Hi
With a little patience and guidance things have gone good. The honing was quite easy and the engine is now built and ready to have the throttle cable fitted and then fingers crossed. The three legged deglazer from Machine Mart made it an idiot proof job.
Will let you know if the baby starts. Compression feels good.
