Thread size in the Villiers center tube

I have a near serviceable Villiers carburetor, excepting that some previous owner has destroyed the thread of the lower tube that screws into the main body.

There may be just enough metal left for an engineer to re turn that thread for me?

Can anyone advise what the thread pitch is please.

The plastic fuel cup also has a hole in it, I have patched it with some epoxy which should work?

Thanks in advance.

I will find out the thread if you can measure up the plastic air intake for me.
I know the thread for the intake I just need to know the rest of the sizes so I can draw one up.

I will get the thread for you in the morning

Thanks,

The plastic air intake is sized 1/ 1/8" inside where the thread to the main body is, why is that size required?

The air intake size is 3/4"

Checking a similar Villiers carb and the one I used on the 102 motor to test that it would run, I see that the threaded section is on a 3/8" diameter shaft.

Roy

Ok, so I have no idea what thread it is... and I had a look in my "guide to world screw threads book"!

Major dia. is 8.8mm

Thread pitch is 32 tpi 60° (the other end is 28 TPI 60°9.6mm)

What I need is All of these sizes. I know the thread size so that is not an issue.
If you could fill in the gaps that would be great.

Thanks with the thread pitches, I am sure that will help the engineer.

The black cowl dimentions are:

A 1 7/8"
B 3/4"
C 1/8"
D 3/4"
E 1 1/4"

Regards,

Roy

HAving submitted a brass specimen ov the Villiers Air Intaks cowl to a tap and die specialist, I am advised the thread is
1-5/32" x 24 TPI - Whitworth 55deg thread form
I am further informed that if I want tap/die it will have to be individually turned for me - I didn't even bother to ask the cost !!
