There wouldn't be much left of the pheasant if I hit it with a .303 :lol: :lol: But another nice toy,and the Bren, a fine piece of hardware.
But this isn't freeing up the piston.I drop it in a pot of diesel and leave it for a few days.It worked for me on a drowned '81 Yamaha 85,though at the heel of the hunt it was beyond saving.It was a big pot

Well this 1.692" would probably stop an elephant then.
Anyway stuck piston -- did we find out if its at the top or at the bottom of the stroke?

The only difficult bit is machining the hole down the middle of a solid lump. Extended drill bits and reamers. 720mm deep 43mm bore, i took me all day just to drill it by hand,the rest is easy enough. The wheels came from a casting place in America who specialise in cannons.
