transom rake and thrust bllock

Post by deacon bruce »

Century Silver Century: When adjusted for transom rake on my boat, it is necessary for thrust block to be in one of two aft holes of the mounting bracket, but it then rotates down when motor is lifted. Must I use a wedge shaped wooden block between engine bracket and transom to get the angle correct? In any event, it looks as if only the two holes nearest the transom are available for this purpose as the thrust block rotates too much in the other two holes.

have you got the pinch bolt done up nice and snug? The thrust block should work in any of the holes.

Have you got the correct thrust block in your mount? Mine don't generally move at all when the motor is tilted.

Any pics so we can see what the problem is exactly :P
