Re: What paint
Hammerite smooth in silver is a close match. I've used it on some of my gulls before now and gives a good durable finish for gearboxes and props.
But of course the choice is yours.

But don't drip petrol on it for at least a month!
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Re: What paint
The tecnical info on hammerite states that it's fully cured in six weeks.... also interesting enough that it can handle temperature up to 130 to 200 degrees C depending on how it's been applied, it was just something I looked up a few weeks ago, nothing better to do as I'm a little immobile at the moment.....Charles uk wrote:But don't drip petrol on it for at least a month!
Re: What paint
Is it suitable for aluminium though.
I have always used an etching primer with it.
