Put a spanner on the nut and even if you can only put a modicum of tension on the flywheel a few sharp hits with a hammer on the end of the spanner will jar the nut free.

A trick that works for me is this.
Place the motor on the floor lying down so the flywheel is close enough to the ground to use one of your feet to "jam" the flywheel. Using a spanner (whilst applying pressure with your foot) the nut hopefully should come undone.

Failing that, a second person might make the job a bit easier.
