25:1 needle number please

Post by kingfisher »

Hi, I'm new to the forum & have had my seagull century plus for the past ten years overhauled it several years ago. I remember buying a 25:1 jet but just have doubts weather I changed the needle or not when I fitted the jet 3/4 years ago ( I think they call this having a senior moment) - Just wondered if anyone could let me know the markings on the correct 25:1 needle so I can check it. I have run the engine since but only for a short time in a wheely bin just to keep it free - currently looking for a dinghy to use it on - Thanks in advance cheers colyn

It's a # 40 jet, the 10:1 ones are #s 45 and 50.

Hi and welcome on board!

I can imagine that the needle you are looking for the number is the one used on the villiers carb. If so

No 2 needle is for 1:25 mixture
No 3 needle is for 1:10 mixture
I love the 10600/145 turns!!!
