Bronze bracket for sale

Post by Oyster 49 »

I'm currently having a bit of a clear out to make room for a new project. The attached is available. It owes me £50 so offers in that region. seen here attached to a SD, but will fit any 102. It has the bent over thubscrews, so late 1940s or thereabouts.

These brackets look great on a period engine 8)

The stamp on the clamp is a pointer to it being older.

Looks like I should practice what I advise ie; cleaning up bronze stuff aye.

This is the other detail on the inside of the starboard clamp. I lightly made it visible. No more rubbing as it will become as it is soon.

The whole thing is very gummed up so I will post the clean up process........never know....... should be of interest going by recent on SOS aye.

Please do sooner rather than later if possible. I have a bunch of brass to clean up and would love to see how you go about doing yours.
