Modified Amal 400 series carbs.

Post by Charles uk »

I've been asked by a couple of overseas Seagull racers to supply them with new Amal carb bodies bored to different sizes.

So the following sizes will be available as bare bodies, if you want a complete carb ask John first as I have limited stocks of the bits.

416
417
418
419
420
420.5
421
421.5

This means I'm going to have to buy 2 strange sized reamers, if I spread the cost over a greater number of carbs, I will be able to lower the cost for all of us.

PM or email me, if you think a slightly larger carb might help you in your quest for speed in this years seagull races.

I can't remember where those gentlemen are from, but as they're gentlemen, they probably are not Bermudian.

I might even return this June, just to show JJ the error of his ways & try to raise the bar on the unlimited record.

That's a very kind offer thanks, but I think I'm sorted, usually at the bottom of Collectors hill.

I won't admit to knowing anything about Mills Creek but give Charlie, Brian, Bert & Graham my regards.

Bruce,.
No the carb size, so the carb throat can be anything from 16mm to 21.5mm depending on application not limited to 16, 18, 19 & 20mm.

Beercan.
I might be, I only turn up on one specific day the same day every year, I only visit the good boys, hence why we've never met, I have been known to bear gifts but usually return with more that are green in colour, I'm as Dean Gorman named me the "Slimey Limey", who are you?
