Forty Plus longshaft parts

Post by rstumpy »

Just acquired a 1967 forty plus longshaft (FPL 719G7) for my boy scout's sloop...was actually in a museum display so in great shape (and dirt cheap).

Unfortunately along the way someone removed the gearbox and bracket to facilitate shipping and then lost the driveshaft and impeller (and a few other bits).

Really need:
--Forty plus long driveshaft (are century driveshafts the same part?)
--Impeller

Would like:
--"security bar" for attaching bracket lug yoke to bracket
--spark plug cap
--one (or two) gearbox to waterpump housing screws
--depth adjusting collar

Hopefully somebody on this side of the pond has donor engine bits from a gull that went to the great beyond...on a budget (aren't we all?). That being said if the driveshaft/impeller must cross the broad Atlantic (or Pacific) so it must.

Thanks all

Jacob,
Thanks much. Thought I'd poke around a bit for a dead donor gull or parts a bit over here first. Will let you know.
Thanks

Somewhere on here you will find the name of a company in California a guy call Sean, he would save you a fortune in shipping & duty.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Yes...waiting for the weekend to finish before contacting.

Back a dozen years or so ago when I had a whole flock of seagulls, the "British Seagull Shop" (if memory serves correctly they had been located in British Columbia) was sold to a fellow named Charles near Seattle, WA...only a few hours from me. Tried several times to contact him then to no avail...I see the same information is still online all these years later.
Anyone here know the gen on what happened, or ever manage to contact Charles? I have visions of a couple of dusty storage units full of Seagull parts inventory, locked-up for a decade...
