Century brass tank, straps etc

Post by whigum »

Looking for a brass tank to replace the steel one on my '76 Silver Century. I think I will need the straps, and plate that goes under the tank also? Going to use this as an opportunity to have a go at removing dents and restoring a tank, so a scruffy dented (but potentially fixable) one is what I'm after :)

What straps and plate? I thought the tank has stainless steel bolt stubs that come out the bottom that bolt onto the head..... Or am I incorrect?

Keith.P, that's the part I was thinking of, yes. So I guess I should say a long range tank with under-plate thing and straps. That's the one I like the look of best :)

PS. that box in the background looks like a very tempting place to have a rummage!
