SOS 40 plus wanted please SOS
40 plus wanted, please, clean and in full working order, preferably with a clutch.
Post 1968 with a standard shaft.
I'm a newbie so know little about them, but have spoken to our wonderful leader this very day who has given me some good advice.
So, come on all of you out there who would like to see their 40+ go to a good home.
I have a 1968 Land Rover camper and tour all over the place, so the engine will have many adventures.
Cheers,
Steve

My thanks, sir.
Just got back from wild camping this weekend.
Could have done with that lovely on the back of my Seahawk.
Cheers,
Steve

Heehee, thanks again.
You certainly keep 'em peeled!
Actually the first one you showed me (the 55) was still available, so duly purchased and am now awaiting delivery.
I'm soon to be the proud owner of my first Seagull, and joining the ranks of one or two other sane folks.
I'll probably be asking more questions later
Any recommendations about checking / essential initial maintenance?
Apparently it runs happily on 25:1, so is John the best chap to get the oil from?
Cheers,
Steve

Thanks Jerseyman.
Let's hope it lives up to its billing and is in good nick.

Thanks. I'd better get some ordered so I can give my little beauty a drink when she arrives.

I was about to order some kit from John and sent him an email all enthusiastic about my new motor.
A reply bounced back explaining that he is poorly and in hospital.
I would just like to send him all my best and hope he has a speedy recovery.
