Villiers Carb Slide

Post by PeterW »

I've managed to damage the carb slide on my 40+, 20 minutes after I got it running for the first time in a good few years..

Does anyone have a spare - beer tokens waiting..!

Cheers

Cable has been replaced, and I soldered a nipple onto the end of the new cable.

All going well til the throttle jammed shut (looks like a burr on the jet) and I remoed the newly solded nipple....

the only wway to release it all was to stick a screwdriver in throgh inlet, and I managed to take a chunk out of the edge of the groove so the cable will now no longer stay in place !

Hey ho.....

It did sound good when it was running though !!

Cheers
