I have a feeling it will come apart easy.
Used to turn but not now. Broken skeg but have gearbox.
I might just keep the ingenious block repair as a spare heh?
I have another block for it.
From memory I have fuel line somewhere.
If head is stuffed then that will be on a buy list in the future.

On to the operating table with it and a lovely day 20c to boot.
Came apart with no real fuss but what a surprise inside
Only one ring. Only one big end fastener. No key for flywheel. Missing big end bearing spacers.
And off course it broke stuff!
Head is an easy weld up.
Flywheel says 1950.
I may have a con-rod but which bloody box or drawer means while looking I will find other bits for something else along the way. That may be a plus.
ATMO I can make one from two (3302)
It is really really good to have regained some mobility lately. I do so enjoy hands-on old machines and I have missed it so much.

Right now it looks like FV-2844 is going to be the one to build up.
Other is problematic long term as appears to be glued together with unknown "Stuff", defying logical activity without smashing it to bits ATM.
Progress however.
There is no interest/discussion only minimal views/interest so I will post again when the power head is complete held in my hand.

I am about to start on FV1146 Which I believe could be the earliest number FV surviving
tank is a bit bashed but decal is good so should be challenging, currently engine is seized.

I personally think the FV and FVP to be one of the best and most interesting seagulls to strip and rebuild, along with SDs and early 102s. Great little engines, and of course some great knowledge about them with jeremys in depth research.
