Hello!
I recently put an old (1957-8) Forty Plus on my 25ft narrowboat as an emergency measure to get moving. It's direct drive, no clutch or reverse, and it's only about one horsepower, so I only bought it as a temporary solution. It didn't take long to grow really fond of the tough old thing, and now I'm thinking I might not bother replacing the old engine... unless a Silver Century with forward/neutral/reverse gears becomes available.
What's the biggest craft you've known a Seagull to power? My boat is quite small in the narrowboat world, but I'm very impressed with how the Seagull pushes it along steadily with no complaints.

Re: Seagull on 25ft narrowboat
Well - they did say ' 1 horse power' - for previously horse drawn boat !
It does not surprise me - I have a 22 sailing boat - and a silver century as a spare engine pushed it at 4 kts + at half throttle. Thats fairly flat tidal open water.

The EFNRL pushes the 23 foot grand banks dory around perfectly at half throttle. so one should be good for yours.
