NZ Shed rescue

Post by bobbynz »

Hi Guys

My first post here after finding 2 old dusty Seagulls at the back of a mates shed ... he was kind enough to give one to me ....

I cleaned it up, set the gaps on the plug and points and fueled her and off she went ... my mate said she would not have fired up for 20 years or more ...

According to the serial number shes a 40 Plus from 1960

Attached her to the rear of my canadian canoe with a home made bracket and off we went on sunday for a wee trip up the local river ....

Noisy ... a bit smokey but great fun ..... a tank of fuel lasted about and hour .... does that sound right ?

You going to do the Waikato event at Easter?
Here is a bit about it from last year

Your about 2 ~2 1/2 hours away from me. There are a lot of guys in your area with a lot of parts. Look up Seagull Outboard Club- Waikato New Zealand on Face book and you will find some of them.
