I'm sure I've seen the same chain on old picture frames. Has anyone tried a framing shop?

Hi there,

The flat link brass chain you're looking for is chandelier chain.

If you don't want the chrome plated stuff then I suggest you do a search on Amazon for "chandelier chain".

The search results will include normal oval link chain - but you'll also get a few examples of the flat link, brass chandelier chain that you're trying to source.

Hope this helps!

The Bunnings links are 1 1/2 links per inch, I think I'll look for the finer brass links.

I've been talking to everyone I know who's got a skeletal bracket to find the details of their safety chandelier chains, the pitch of the chain seems to be 2.5 links per inch, which is the same as the safety chain on the bayonet fuel cap & the retaining chain on the locking pin that stops the motor falling off the transom bracket.
