Wooden pistons old news, V6 diesel Marston next
Re: Folding Seagull
I am intrigued. Did the Evinrude 'fold' to reduce the overall length, or was it possible to just quickly break it into two parts? I can see that there are advantages in doing so for storage or transport in a car or boat.
An Early Series Forty can quickly become two parts (intentionally or accidentally!) if the drive shaft tube is not correctly clamped into the crankcase!

Re: Folding Seagull
The folding Seagull is perhaps a myth , the question was asked on another forum so just wondered if anyone had heard of it .
I'll add a few pics of a ' Sputnik ' , recently acquired off ebay . Comes with its own ( rather tatty ) rucksack . It has pouches for tools etc , unfortunately these are long gone
