Post by mauriziopiras »

Hi guys,
This is the new SD newly arrived after a long trip.
I know: some components are to be replaced.
All tips are welcome
Cheers
Maurizio

Have a look at your last flywheel picture at 6 O'clock on the baseplate, you will see the letters "JM" underneath that spoke of the flywheel you should find the rest of the number that Hugo wants.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

My first SD was also like that, the flywheel had no stamp, but the baseplate had the stamp.

Excellent thanks. Fortunately with the later SD's the gearbox casing, l believe, is the same as the early C, D AC and AD with nipples on the Port side. The alloy is slightly different but it would be a fine eye that would pick the difference. Wonder why a lot of the fuel lines have been replaced? I'm assuming the clutch lever has patent inscripted on it?

Edit: I already have this motor listed! I have the clutch lever as plain which is a bit of an abnormality but #SD10100 is also plain. Thanks for the JM number that I didn't have. I'll update location as well. Yay.
