Hard blow with a medium hammer

Post by andrew »

Needed coil from a donor FPL in poor shape, coil had a remarkably OK reading given how the rest of it looked. One strike and no movement so soaked it with penetrating oil for nearly a week. First strike on the nut today and the flywheel came off easier than any other I’ve seen. Or at least I thought it did!

That flywheel may well have been cracked to start with by the looks of it!

Yup! I dont think you will be using that fly wheel any more. You may need a puller to get he rest off.
