Numbers on the crank

Post by Nudge »

Had anyone seen numbers on the crank like this before?

Is it a part number or some other form of I.D.
I think is was put in there when it was made.
Tried a file on it.... the file didn't even look at it, It's hard!

Any ideas?

I wonder who will start a register of crank numbers now.

I have never actually looked....UNTIL NOW that is.

Where will this crazy BS thing be put to rest.......ever?

Hopefully never.
