I've never seen any traces of a tank stencil before, have you Hugo?

I’ve seen stencilling on the exhausts before. Remember the engines we have seen with “GDP” stencilled on the tank?

Did you see stenciling on unpainted exhausts?

here's one with an unpainted exhaust and a white stencil on the exhaust tube.
How authentic it is i don't know.

and another one with nice green paint on the flywheel, again not sure how authentic it is, but look through the smoke and you will see a white stencil on the exhaust. I like this one better :P

I haven't found any SD's with a stencil on the tank, other than what you guys have seen before with a flying gull and associated info on the fuel tanks.
I can only imagine that the SD currently in Tam's hands won't be the last one with remnants of a tank stencil. Mind you he is a lucky ........., where does he find them?

hope this helps Hugo and Charles and Adrian fill in a few blank spaces. :P

Hi, thanks Tam good data. I've only seen the decals on the tank never stencil work. I have heard of a fuel ratio decal on exhaust! White stencil on bare exhaust is rare but they are about. I have seen a WD # stenciled on an exhaust. Was there remains of a white stencil on "the crated" one? GDP rings a bell Adrian.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6539&hilit=GDP

Is it GDP or CDP? Could this be an outfit that were selling off surplus?

Shouldn't be anything on the others side but worth a further check.
