It is used for the recoils that mount onto the baseplate to stop it twisting.

I used to have a late 1960s 102 that had the same part fitted, no recoil starter though.

It was the same as what was on my donor model 75 which had wipac mk2, I would sy it works on the MK1 villiers with the same style baseplate rim but cant be sure.Charles uk wrote:Is it baseplate specific Jacob?
