Yes, very exciting for me too. I see yours also has the original brass height adjuster. Does it have a CIESS stamp on gearbox and also would be nice to know jm magneto #. Looks like you have the original braided throttle cable.... yay.

Certainly a very original and honest motor. Mine is SD10588.L4. What paperwork do you have with it? Is it the one by the ministry of supply?

Here is mine, also a pic of the other part of the original transom fixing:

Seagull 101,
Hi Jacob,
Thanks for the pics. Your outboard is really nice, and even has the correct pull start.
Mine is SD 9822.L4.
I have been in contact with the previous owner, and there is a possibility that the brackets are still hanging up in the shed.
He will check for me in a couple of weeks, when he returns from holiday.
I will get some pics of some of the papers.
Cheers
Mark

Hugo,
I have just tried resending the email, but I don’t think it sends.
I will try again later.

Received and logged Mark. An ali top with copper/brass refinements. Same as Jacobs. Great stuff!

It looks like 5/3/46 if you zoom in on the bottom part of it.

Yes, 1946. It also shows the flat top magneto which is an interesting point.

And a long water jacket cylinder, that would probably make it an early AD, that's why I asked about the exact date.

With a clutch?

I have the 1946 drawings X2, with the cold start page and an unused guarantee.
