If you go back to page one of this thread it has been established that this motor has been extended.... braised chrome extension on exhaust etc.

So far tillers are showing in two lengths. Std (13.5") and Long (14.5"). SD61 is 11" which is an anomaly. Originally steel. Went to brass post war.

I haven't documented at what stage "Seagull" and "1344" was scripted onto the tiller boss. Have you come up with an idea with which engine #s they appeared Jon?

Just to confirm, this seagull is about 49 and a bit inches tall. That is about 3 inches longer than my other long shaft seagulls. It has been modified very well, with the exhaust tube, driveshaft tube, and clutch rod, all being extended.
Has anybody else got an extended seagull.?
And spiro,
Magneto number JM12202
Skeg number 234.

Just to satisfy my own curiosity with the "extensions", would it be possible for some close up pictures of the exhaust tube and drive shaft please :P

I'd like to see what's going on with the drive tube towards the bottom, particularly where the 2 little holes normally are in the drive tube.

They seem pretty clear in the pics attached to the 1st & 2nd post, hole included.

Just as an update. Previous owner has just replied, that the original transom bracket is not available, and presumably lost over the years.
Such a shame, as he was a bit of a hoarder, and seemed to have saved most things.
