Good to hear from you Adrian. Must be incredibly frustrating being a landlubber. I have a spinal cord neck injury which happened in my late forties which stopped my sailing enterprises at which time I swapped for little boats with old motors. Now I'm finding joy in maritime history. I look forward to hearing about your recovery and wish you all the best with it.

Just think about next year as well!

Soon be back on the water.
Never very far from my thoughts that's for sure.

Keep doing what you're doing.

Chap across the road from me had the same sort of bother last year. Paralysis, the lot. This year, he's been "crewing" for me in my little boat on numerous occasions. Needs a bit of help to get aboard, but he still manages to catch more fish than me! Keep on keeping on, Adrian. 8)

Just an update for those of you that have been following A-J's progress so far.

I've just had a telephone conversation with A-J this evening. He seems to be very keen about getting back out on the water this year.
His mind is very willing although his body is somewhat lagging behind at the moment. He'll get there, it just takes time and some encouragement from us.
Apart from that he's in fine spirits, although getting over a virus at the moment. He gets a bit confused quite easily although this is to be expected under the circumstances.

With luck i shall be meeting up with him and Allegra in the next couple of months to chew the fat so to speak, and to give some of his other motors a quick "once over".
Can't wait...

As for getting onto the water again i'm working through a few problems that might arise as and when we finally get the old boy into a boat again!
More on that soon. :P (see Cholsey 2017 posts)
He sends his regards to everybody that knows him.
