This blog here perhaps demonstrates why it is so successful and so dearly appreciated by members worldwide.
But then it may only be possible in a place like the UK where perhaps the worlds most generous and giving people reside.
Up goes the request for someone to make a video of reassembling a seagull and its like everyone responds without any regard for the trouble and time involved and with a total disregard for financial cost.
Absolutely amazing.
Another moment of history to join the annals of the entire seagull life story.
Donations would surely roll in if banking details were provided .
Would say something like NZ$10 ( 5 quid) be too small an amount.

Had a test run yesterday, sub 20 minutes is possible, here is a taster picture, there will be a video

Did strip mag base, but that was a bit of a pain, gearbox was easy, wireing conrod screws took time.

The previous owner of this motor was the Husband of my sons first primary school teacher, he died from cancer in a very short space of time.
Lets hope he is looking down and smiling.

Impressive stuff but i didn't use any power tools when i did my 55 minute assembly. (just like James May and maybe even BS back in the day)
EVERYTHING done by hand with hand tools (yep the con rod screws take some time to lock wire together i'll give you that one H-A)

My assembly was done on an LS last year. (still trying to find my pics of it in bits)


So i guess you'll be using power tools then Alan to achieve your sub 15 min challenge. (i think that's cheating slightly but then i'm old skool all the way)
What kind of time do you think you might get if you didn't use powertools? (i'm curious)

It's your video so you do it the way you want to.

P.S.Have found a slight issue with the crankcase, has some distortion, did wonder why it had been assembled with so much jointing compound.
Have purchased a replacement.
