Silver Century Plus long shaft depth adjustment question

I have now own a WSCPL from 1976 During its restoration I would like to run it on one of my 16 foot boats for testing.

Can I use a 2/1334C depth adjustment collar? This would not be a permanent installation, Just used to putt around the lake now and then.

Any other ideas out there?

BS recommend NO but this is my solution for the Bass Strait. As you can see this corrects the shaft angle for trim and lifts the prop to the correct height. Designed to give solid vibration free support.
