Re: "Cholsey Run this year"
Well we had a good time 4 boats, good weather.
Nice to put faces to names, the day went quickly so it must have been OK.
I only remembered to take a couple of photos, but did get a bit of video.

8.5MPH could be the "Fastest Marston OA In The World"
It ran OK but did not like getting hot, which caused a loss of spark.
Need to take it apart and find the problem.
H-A
P.S. must set the video date time

Re: "Cholsey Run this year"
JEREMY's little pram dinghy with power provided by an FV proved quite a competent combination! well done . (fairly fast too when my youngest wanted a ride with him)
unlike my fairly heavy "old tub" which ended up the slowest boat of the day
AC3392 had a couple of early teething problems but was reliable enough for the day.
My wspc threw its toys out of its pram on the return trip from WALLINGFORD it got slower and slower! (think it needs a rebuild) so AC3392 was quickly put back on (i wont tell you what happened immediately afterwards, thanks PETE and CHARLES,rotten sods! )
best speed i could muster from the 102 was 4.2 mph as measured by CHARLES's hand held device, interesting to know.
I think i might need a better/slightly smaller boat but all in all a very good day.
Lets do it again next year.

Yes, it was good fun. It's a lovely stretch of river to mess around in boats. To go to the pub for a pint and a meal and chat to fellow 'Seagullers'. Thanks.
My F201 had its annual outing. I am sure it approved of the fresh, rather than salt water, diet. I think the design 'dept' must have thought up the choke arrangement on a Friday afternoon!. Screwing the choke up and down without any indication of it's position was not ideal. Having said that, it usually started second pull and moved along very quietly and with adequate power for a 8' dinghy.
FV2821 did the 'long' distance stuff.

AJ
let me help you.
look at the first pic of H-A's boat in the long grass, in the background you'll see JEREMY in his little pram dinghy.
the next set of pictures of the two boys with the dog and an ugly bloke in the water manouvering a boat, thats me! (JON)
the "inquisitive swan" pic, if you can blow it up, you'll see 3 gentlemen sitting at the table with beers in hand, rear left= H-A (ALAN) front left=PETER
and rear right=CHARLES
does that help?
