Hi was watching this item on ebay a few weeks ago.

does anyone know how they work. is there a tube that goes from the end to the air inlet , thinking about making one , thanks gadget

I own one and they work really well.
There is a hose on the end. The filler cap is a standard seagull cap.
you undo the breather and put the filler hose into the tank and lift it up, it fills very easily and is good in rough conditions. when not in use the end of the hose goes over a sort of rod on the tank that stops it from leaking.
Got mine on ebay for 20 pounds including shipping to Australia, no one at the time new what it was so got it cheap.

thanks chris , so is the metal bar at the top of the tank where the pipe goes on when not in use . if so that explains my confusion ( thought it might have been an air bleed but only ever seen a picture i was guessing ) but makes making one a lot easyer. thanks gadget

I looked at the ebay one and realised I could just use one of my Spare seagull tanks in the same manner so did not bid - A dollar saved is 1/2 a pound earned as we say in the States.
