Re: Old One Running
I just like this motor, apart from a resprayed tank it does not look like it has ever really been touched and such a good runner, pumps water right down to tick over. Bit of fuel, got it running, I could not help taking a video, it's a shame there is no where here to try this motor and I don't really want to run her in the sea Charles would hunt me down.

Re: Old One Running
No I wouldn't! as it would just make my OP that little bit rarer.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
Re: Old One Running
I would run it all day long in the sea, drink a bunch of beers and listen to her purr like the kitten she is.Enjoy it man,Im running both my SDs in the sea,I have no choice..
Re: Old One Running
If I had a spare block I would most definitely use it but at the moment it looks like the bin it is, Sad Really

Re: Old One Running
not sad at all!
AS AND WHEN (if i ever do manage to get hold of one of these) i think i would be too scared to actually use it. far too valuable in my eyes at least.
far better to run it occasionally in the bin,the rest of the time keep it in the front room nice and dry and warm, maybe stroke it lovingly once in a while (ahem).
perhaps a very good museum piece that actually runs.
really must double my efforts at getting an unmentionable!
cheers

If the desire is that strong Jon, email me your details & I'll put your name on the register's wish list, then all you'll need is patience.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
