It doesn't look all that original, older but damaged plug cap, not original, a brass tiller on a 58-9 motor, I don't know if its old enough for that or a ally cap and if the tiller is brass shouldn't the gearbox bung be brass as well.
Its interesting, but as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Shame about the glued up impeller, wouldn't think it would be very easy to find a replacement.

Not difficult Keith, impossible & no other impeller will do, if anyone has one for sale, they're talking stupid money.

Rubber impeller? There two people in AOMCI that make new impellers if you send in your old one.

I've been discussing the remanufacturing of them with several people Phil, & the general opinion seems to be that rubber doesn't suit the design of the Seagull waterpump housing as well as cast polypropelene or injection molded plastic in the same shape as the original.
