I have started my WCPCL in the barrel with Bosch M10 AC spark plug.
Fit nice into the engine and start good.
I hope that I will test it on the sea this summer.

Happy Seagulling!

Igor,

Baybe someone could supply a cross reference chart e.g
Champion-Bosch. This may help you to find the correct spark plug
as most know the Champion type.
I have tried Bosch M 5 A on a 102 but have only limited experience, works fine in the garden...

regards

Hello Igor,

On the net I found (in comprison with Champion D-16) the corresponding Autolite which is e.g. B9 and corresponding AC tis 86.
Could the international Segullers fill in this format which could a cross referencew chart for Spark Plugs suited.

Spark plug types recommended by Seagull.

Post by John@sos »

The plugs today recommended and sold for Seagulls by British Seagull are the Champion D16 and the D21. (Think the D21 might be a hotter plug for use at low revs...) I have never used one and often use low revs with the D16 with no ill effect.

The equivilant NGK plug I often used to sell was the A6. Both these plugs are now classed as 'speciality' plugs with a price match!

Of course the old plug was the '8 COM' but these have been discontinued for many years, as has the even older Lodge plug???

I will look and try and find a full list and add it to the site.

Regards,
John

You can get cross reference from one brand to another at

(WHere else??)

www.carsparkplugs.com

:D

I did try D16 and it didnt list a Bosch equivalent though....

However, it does confirm the NGK A6 as the 'equivalent' to the Champion D16, and Bosch site confirms CHampion A16 can be replaced by:

M7A

M8A

M8AC

M8ACO

M8AO

M10A

M10AC

M10ACO

M10AO

M45T1

M95T1

M95T5

M145T1

M145T5

M175T1
