Birds of a featherweight or plus

Post by Robin Anderson »

Was enjoying a pootle in a favourite Dorset anchorage recently :-

when I spotted a vessel approaching the bay - hmmmmm, I thought, this might constitute unaccetable overcrowding and spoil the view .....
but fortunately it was a very nice boat...... and skipper had a fine choice of outboard on his rail - a Forty Plus - bought for him by his dad, as had mine, more than a few decades ago - so the Bay was beautified by two old birds .... and needless to say the two old skippers swung the oil lamps and righted all sorts of wrongs telling tall tales and swapping anecdotes of happy Seagulling days gone by, and to come...
