Hi Everyone

Post by FUBB »

Hi....have been watching your site for some time and have now purchased a couple of seagulls from an ex member from Rugby . Sold me all his motors an AD and an Silver Century. All running and with electronic igniton modules He also gave me prints of all the posts he contributed to , circuit diagrams and prototypes, spare jap carbs etc so I might pick up on the topics if I get time. So there we go from 0 to 2 in one transaction !

Imagine if some of us printed out all our posts and sold with motors!

Congrats on the motors. Particularly the AD!

Yes that is it Manifold is on the prints of the postings he kept on the jap carbs and the modules ...I have the larger diameter jap carb to try when I go out ...the silver Century is on the AD leg and the AD on the 5 blade with clutch.

That statement Daryl gives you the unpaid job of Sherriff of the Troll Patrol.

Let's wait & see if the Benevolent Dictator agrees.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Do not want to see any of the trolls posts back here thanks. Registering involved agreement with simple rules that he could not abide. Seems there are a few out there with nothing better to do....Hope you enjoy the Seagulls, that is what it is meant to be about, not his school boy sillyness.

My only concern is that since the kerfuffle we have lost a lot of the advice and wisdom from Bruce.

Fear not, Bruce is back! Think once I explained what was going on in the background all was fine!

We cannot allow one nasty to upset the boat, we have to deal with them.

Seagulls are for fun, my website is for fun, heck no one goes to the lengths we all do otherwise. Hope These little motors will continue to give fun for years, next month the grandson will join us on the canal in Essex for our next 'Flocking', with his dinghy and hope I he too gets the Seagull bug!

I agree Hugz, but I don't know the exact nature of what was said or done but as John says, simple registration rules are in place and we must run with them for the good of the site. It's a damn shame to be honest, this is a great site, I know I've learned loads from the experienced guys. God, for me to strip down an engine, rebuild it, and the bloody thing worked, is a miracle, but that's all thanks to everyone, including those no longer with us. Let's move on now and forget about the past, it won't fix my 2 Forty Plus engines still needing my attention.

Let sleeping dogs lie!!!

We've now more important things to tend to, we've got trips organised, races in the pipeline, a new newsletter, and plenty of headaches with these old engines to sort. Keep up the great site and don't dwell on little blimps.

I am going to slightly edit the last post to remove the language that my grandson should not see....

Would be interested to know what Fubb means, as I know it as exactly what you had Hugz!

I like to welcome any Seagull owner to the forum and like to think they read the rules on registration and would not defile my site in any way. Hopefully this guy will get in touch to buy some parts and come along with his motors to the Essex meet next month! We would welcome him, but we don't need nasty trolls like Manifold/Pistonbroke so lets forget the clown and move on.

Regards,
John
