Just cruising ebay (as you do) and spotted this odd engine mounting

sadly due to rust this old engine of 1971 vintage will never again chug the waterways of this country
Might just buy this one and accept the challenge :?:

I know the feeling. Much nicer to save one that buy a good runner with little to do.
Nice 102 with a clutch. Trying to find out engine number

Just bought an untested spares or repair silver century but it does turn top and bottom

above ebay motor is a 102 with a clutch 1947 AC2987. If I wasn't 500 miles form Wales I'd be after it. Even though it has the wrong prop.

.......caution the totally rusted out water jacket on the cylinder block? Unless you have a spare 102 Silver Century block it won't chug any waterway! And as we know there are way more rusted out basket case Silver Century blocks than available spare blocks........
