Archimedes vs Penta

Post by Double Dutch »

Exactly the same engines, but a different name.
Both engines are made by Elektrolux Stockholm Sweden.
I have restored the Archimedes and left the Penta as she is.
The Penta PA-20 is a none runner with some work. No 51520613
The Archimedes S-20 runs fine behind my dinghy. No 01520437
Both engines are a massive 2Hp and probably build around 1950
If anybody can identify them I will be very pleased.

Two beautiful machines! How many different outboards do you have in your collection? Seagull, Anzani, Elektrolux and ......?

Hi Sheerwater,
I think about 12 by now.
Seagull TC
Seagull SD
Seagull FS
Zundapp Delphin
Britannia BMB 30's
Penta PA-20
Archimedes S-20
Automotive products (JAP)
Berini Boatmaster
Delphin EL 1000 ( electric )
British Anzani
Johnson Seahorse 1938
And another Seagull TC at the bottom of the lake, my first outboard lost last summer. 20ft deep. :(
