Has anybody got one of these? Early 1950s, 2 forward facing cylinders not unlike the super single, twin cranks geared to a central shaft. Does anybody have a photo?

I don't think they manufactured very many, I've only seen two since the millennium.

I’ve only ever seen one of these, belonging to a forum member. Very interesting engine. I wonder why they only made a few?

I think I have seen three of them over the years, it's a little like the Anzani onboard engine, it may have just not have sold very well.

A member of the Westralian Chapter of the Antique Outboard Motor Club has one, however I think he has it stored back in NZ with the majority of his collection, so getting photos etc may be difficult at this time.

If there's any specific you need, i could ask on your behalf. Just yell out.

S

I think few were made as they were quickly superseded by the Unitwins - don't know how good they were - if I remember correctly Anzani made a standard version and a `Sport' producing 8 and 13 HP respectively- quite how they did that I can't imagine.
Must have been as noisy as hell, as the exhaust was a tin cylinder between the powerheads and travelling down a pipe to water level. Cooling was the same as the Unitwins - that mysterious propellor vacuum system.

Why don't you post pictures of yours? Please.

I don't think I've ever seen a race one, I've seen several Unitwin & class A & B Anzani racers but never a Sport Twin one.

The strange thing about collectors, is that they're a secretive bunch, it's a pity there isn't a register of all the UK outboard collectors & their areas of interest, it wouldn't need to contain their names & addresses just some form of contact method, which should be able to answer this sort of question.
