Re: Anzani
Yep -- the early ones also had the petrol filler cap right at the pointy end of the tank, a slightly smaller tank than the later ones, and a nice two bladed prop.

Thanks for that Mark, I've put it on my watch list, but I won't be bidding, just too much wrong or missing on that one, too much money & it's been Americanised.
But if you want to get me a xmas pressie

That was the ultimate racing outboard in it's day. Left everything else standing. I think the colonials banned them for a while, as they went so well?

Go on buy it Charles, you could wrap it in seagull parts and bring it to NZ for the mighty Waikato Race

I've got some, but only class B's.
Problem is there is no where in this country that you can run it with those pipes.

Re: Anzani
On my local river, they look down their noses if you rev up you 102 .
If you ran a racing Anzani they would call the Police.
I think Charles is correct you have no place to run them, in the UK the only noise that is allowed is the gardeners using leaf blowers.
There was talk about banning petrol lawnmowers because they are too noisey.
I usually try to run my engines in the water butt when my neighbours are cutting their grass, but an Anzani with megaphones is far too savage.
