Blimey, good to hear from you again Graham!

Not sure if I will be in the UK, I'm currently due to be flying back on that Sunday from Germany.

Looking forward to the weekend, I have a boat, bought yesterday that I will bring along plus two engines. Ill also bring some Marsden bits to pick your brains over. I have hoped to use the Marsden but cant get it ready in time. Good news is that the block is sound and all the part are original except a few peripherals. The problem is the gear box has a pin hole in the casting that needs repair and that requires a gearbox strip down.

really looking forward to meeting you all hope a few turn up.

taking of which I have been trying to contact Joh by PM but no reply any one know of his whereabouts??

Sorry guys about my "sudden dissapearence", i've been working flat out on my boat for the last 2 weeks with very little time for the forum.
Nearly finished now though.
Boat looks like new again (i'd be interested in what you think when you see it)
So yes, i'm DEFINITELY going to be there (probably rediculously early just to get parked and launched)

See you all there

Great day, thanks for all the advice and engine tips and for the lone of an iconic engine from Jon after my "new" SD sheered the drive shaft, also some spelling corrections: for H-A, I will write Marston 100 time...

Hi guys
i'm still trying to recover after 3 weeks of hard graft on my boat (rubbing down and painting, hope it looked alright?)
Bashed my leg quite badly getting the boat back on the trailer after most of you had gone. (another scar!)

Plenty of photos coming soon from my mate's wife who was behind the camera all day. (i did bring a camera with me but clean forgot to use it  )

A-J no problem with the loan of the elderly AC, hope it ran good on your clinker. (BEAUTIFUL boat you have there and it looks just perfect with a 102 on the back)
My old bargepusher ran ok if a little bit "wobbly" on the tiller, probably a worn prop bush but it is 66 years old after all.
The silver century i used first of all was dreadfully slow on my boat, the AC goes a bit better which happens to be one of my favourites.

After a couple of unexpected breakdowns (none of my motors i might add) i think everybody enjoyed themselves even if the day did bring some light rain in the morning but brightened up for the afternoon.
And of course it's always good to put faces to names. Thankyou all.

I thinks it's time i started thinking about building a smaller/lighter boat. (4.5 mph is embarrassingly slow but she's a heavy old thing dont forget)
or i might get the model 90 up and running and see how that goes?
decisions decisions....

Any way, stay tuned for the pics, should be good.

cheers everyone
Jon
