I really take my hat off to you for the careful preparation and planning (that is critical); for your seamanship and determination; and for making the difficult decision to abandon the attempt.
A great read, with some marvelous photos.
Probably the very best post that I have read on this site. Or will it be the second best after reading the account of your next attempt!?
