G'day Rex

Just across the ditch here in West NZ (aka Australia) and hoping one day soon to get over to Godzone for a wee dose of Seagull Spirit!!

Maybe Waikato next year?? (When is this year's event, anyway?)

Post is to advise that www.regattaevents.co.nz website link is not working. Any ideas why not?

Cheers
Mark

PS: Me mum was born in Wullingtun, and I can sing the UnZud National anthem in Maori and Pakeha. Will I be welcome?? :)

Thanks for the tip-off about the broken link. I'll look into it

Use the following link for now. It's the a backdoor key into the same site

http://www.seagulloutboard.com/

Waikato event is over Easter 22-23-24 April

http://www.seagulloutboard.com/1_10_Waikato-River.html

Videos of Waikato here

http://www.seagulloutboard.com/1_14_25th-Waikato.html

We regularly see overseas people at the Waikato event. Ozzys, Bermudans, even the occasional Pom.

Ever thought about putting together an Ozzy event? All you need is a handful of mates & a waterway. Motorcamps are perfect venues

Rex

PS. You don't want to listen to me sing the national anthem.

How did the Rotorua trip go. Have not quite finished second boat yet, so could not make it.

Fantastic event. Lots of participation. The weather came out perfect. Wind was low. Vessels going over the weir & thru the ohau channel all made it safely. A few breakdowns, but, overall a great day.

Course was maybe a bit long for some at 52km. Looking at trimming it down to 42km, marathon distance.

Might move it to a winter event as the summer events calendar is getting a bit crowded. Winter would make better use of the geothermal hot springs.

Sounds good. Will have a little more time after Easter to do more events as I will not be building a boat. Just a few seagull engines.
