Saving Old Seagulls

Hello all, I've just been offered a boat at a very cheap £100 but wonder if anyone has any experience with this type of boat, it's an Old Town Canoe, Diccovery Sport 15, same as the pic below. I found a YouTube clip of it bombing along and it looks fast, it weighs just over 50 kg so it will go on the roof if need be but not sure about the stability as it's rather narrow, the chap who is selling it has only used it for rowing and paddling. I know some of you use these types of narrow hulls so any advise would be most welcome,
