I find that the ones with a fold away hood, and both zip and Velcro are best. But don't forget that they best made from Gortex fabric and need to have a draw string aroung the waist. :lol: H-A P.S. I was not going down the Nitrous route, I was thinking more of a belt driven supergharger. Simple just add another pulley above flywheel, easy peasy. Now all I need is a nice cheap blower about the size of a coke can.

There you have it, your prop was not turning fast enough because of the wrong gearbox

My boat is 14 foot long and goes well with either of my featherweights (villiers or Amal carb), there is almost no difference between them and my forty plus. I would also agree with R-B-T, small jap 2 stroke is best, I would use my Mariner 2HP as they are so light. But at the end of the day you cant...

I was number 18, we finnished the race not sure of our place . Am writing this on my mobile sorry if it is a bit short . When i get home i will post pictures.

Yes perhaps when the credit crunch is over I will look at Bermuda and New Zealand. (It would be nice to have a Thames Race; perhaps we could get a lottery commission grant. I think you can get over the speed limit thing if it is a race.) But the cold and wet will be well worth all of the preparation...

One of my forty featherweights has got a helicoil, I thought that it was a mend. Glad to hear it was factory fit.
