Re: Murray River Boat
You guys are doing well boats look good. It is worth while playing with your propellors I think you will get a little more speed very easily. Set all the pitches on the blade to the same and then add or remove a little bit of pitch to see what happens. Engines will run a lot smoother. Put a wanted a...

Nicer quality fish when grown in the sea, I say let the fish farm go ahead to feed the masses as it wont happen in my back yard

Re: More way off topic, America's Cup.
It was kiwis that made their boat go as good as it did, dam traitors hope they live to regret it. Kiwis still won as they are the biggest part of team Oracle. I hope the rest of the world now wake up and see that this cup is stuck in the hands of one man who will do anything including blatant cheati...

Re: Which gearbox for Centry racing gull
Getting the propeller right is the key. Get the pitch of each blade the same for a start then the same shape, then you can start tuning the propellor to suit your engine and boat combo.

Ugly boat but goes really well with a seagull on it. A porta boat holds a couple of Waikato river records.

Re: (Of the topic) Mamod Steam Engines
Here are a couple I made when I was teaching Metal work at the local school. Every kid in the class made one, 15 in all.
