Maybe a new spark plug is in order, the old one is a twin electrode.
Can you still get them or is it the standard NGK ones?

After a good clean-out of the water ways it is pumping well. The pictures are at tickover, the impellor is in good condition, it is brass or bronze i think. Could anyone tell me if the seagull crank should have end float as my one has about 1/4" play and if so does it affect the running?

Run with no prop anyway, but if the water way in the head is blocked could it be unblocked?
