link to paint tech data

For those who haven't seen the site, www.nymarine.ca/paint.html, Peter MacDowell has some excellent info on paint for vintage outboards. He has many customers in North America and elsewhere also has some reproduction OMC rubber parts.

See Tips and Paint info at above site.

Have an AC 102 '55-'56 that has had the cylinder swapped onto a WSPCL 1977 crankcase, with rod piston and rings. Slid damaged square head off, slipped 102 cylinder on, used 102 leg and gearbox, works great! Put some hours on it past season no problems.

On another site I visit, [www.aomci.com] it works if I type out the URL with tags before and after as I did here. When I click on the img code line under the thumbnail on photobucket, it doesn't seem to do anything. Do I have to be logged in to both sites at once? I thought that what happened was th...

Thanks H-A, The top one was intended as relief for the poor sunstruck individuals down south. Had another in similar vein. However, that is my little boat at the wharf, this past Sept. A 22' Brewer sloop.

Thoughts of how hot and miserab...

myford lathe

Assuming some of you out there will have experience with lathes. Haven't used one in many years, but interested now. I've been looking at a Myford ML7 made in 1954, it appears to be in good condition, would any of you have comments on its reputation or suitability for an old outboard motor nut. They...

what twin

Hi, looks like its based on a 20s Johnson, see www.aomci.org , click on photo gallery, scroll down to the '25 and '29 Johnson motors. Looks like Tom Goepfrisch who I believe once owned a Seagull twin, has an interesting 50 hp radial from that era. Too bad some of the photos won't enlarge anymore.
