How Cool a little boat is that!

Crankcase could be the problem with sealing. Check around where the tiller mount/casting is on the crankcase and check to see if there is wetness from fuel around that area.

I would make sure that the "Just Paper" is of the oil retention/gasket type but. Not something like photocopy paper. Same thickness though. I have always used "Case Sealer" myself. Yamabond or Suzuki #4 for example. Not Dow Corning stuff! No matter what they claim. Regards B
